The Annual Brambles Bank Cricket Match takes place on the year's lowest Spring tide - the event is probably the shortest cricket rally to take place, lasting for about an hour... and probably the only one where flooding of the wicket stops play!!
The event takes place between members of The Royal Southern Yacht Club at Hamble and the Island Sailing Club. Many of the competitors dress all in cricket whites and The Bramble Inn is erected to serve drinks to spectators.
Watch this space as we are looking to get together a few people interested in going over on the day. All are welcome to go over and watch, although be aware that on such a low tide, there will not be any water on the slipway to launch!
