OOD Duties
Officer of the Day (OOD) Duties
All club members are required to undertake OOD duties during racing and other club events. Please note the dates allocated to you.
OODs must enter their names on the Race Entry Sheet regardless of whether racing actually takes place, this will ensure your attendance is recorded.
If you cannot attend then it is your responsibility to arrange a swap with another member. Please only swap with someone of a similar experience level, the individual's level being indicated next to their name:
(3) = Experienced
(2) = Not very confident
(1) = Very little experience/never done it before
Record the swap on the programme in the clubhouse and inform the Sailing Secretary via the website.
We have ensured that the less experienced have been allocated duties with the more experienced and training sessions have been provided to help gain familiarity with the procedure and the safety boats.
